The 16-year-old California native took in a second full season of open wheel racing action throughout the Midwest, ranking sixth in points at Kokomo Speedway and third in overall Sprint Bandits TNT points.  With 30 top-tens in 55 Sprint Car feature starts, Cole scored a win at Bloomington Speedway on June 8 with other top outings including a USAC Indian Sprint Week runner-up finish at Kokomo (July 15) and a Sprint Bandit TNT third-pace finish at Oklahoma's Mid-America Speedway (Aug. 15).  Notched three top-fives in seven Midget feature starts.
