The young

portions of Manzanita Speedway's Copper on
the Dirt in February and went on to score
seven more wins to run his season total to
nine. Ricky added a USAC Sprint Car
win at Big Diamond Raceway in Minersville,
PA, and a Silver Crown score in the Tony
Bettenhausen 100 at the Illinois State
Fairgrounds, with five more victories
coming in Midget action, including
Knoxville's King Doodlebug event, Junction
Motor Speedway's Cornhusker Midget
Nationals, an Indiana Midget Week win at
Kokomo and a Four Crown Nationals score at
Eldora.
Ricky's
strong season, which included 24 top-fives
and 39 top-tens in 66 overall feature
starts, netted third in USAC Midget points
and sixth in USAC Sprint Car points.
Recently
signed to the Roush Fenway Racing team and
set to tackle the ARCA/ReMax series in
2008, Ricky joins forces with the Keith
Kunz Motorsports camp as he tries to crack
Saturday night's Chili Bowl championship
main event for the first time after making
it as far as a "B" Main last
year.
