Stanbrough
enters the 22nd Annual Chili Bowl
Nationals on the heels of a career season
that netted 30 feature wins in Wingless
Sprint Car competition. Victories came at
eleven different tracks, with Gas City
(eight), Kokomo (seven), Bloomington
(five) and Lawrenceburg (four) his most
frequent ATM's. Other victories came
at North Vernon, Brownstown, Morgan
County, Haubstadt and Boswell. Three
triumphs came during Indiana Sprint Week,
with Stanbrough also earning KISS title
honors (King of Indiana Sprint
Series).
Eighty-five
of Stanbrough's 115 career feature wins
have come during four of the past five
seasons, with his 30 wins in 2007 trumping
campaigns of 21 wins in 2006, 19 wins in
2003 and 15 wins in 2004.
After an alphabet run in
his initial Chili Bowl appearance in 2004,
Stanbrough has made it to three
consecutive Chili Bowl championship main
events and makes a run for a first career
Midget feature win and the Golden Driller
trophy in this year's Chili Bowl
Nationals.
