With just a handful of Midget starts under his belt, the Oklahoma native comes off a strong 2007 season in which he captured 15 Sprint Car feature wins.  Winning both the Ohio Speedweek and NSCS Speedweek titles, Shane scored a $10,000 win in Knoxville's 360 Nationals then picked up another $10,000 with a World of Outlaws score at Grays Harbor two weeks later.  That was followed soon after by another $10,092 payday in Grays Harbor's Fred Brownfield Memorial.  As the season wound down, Shane had another $20,000 winner's share in his sights in the third and final leg of 360-ci Sprint Car racing's triple crown, I-30 Speedway's Short Track Nationals, only to settle for second after capturing a qualifying night victory.

Shane's most recent Midget outing was in November 2006 when he posted a runner-up finish at Tucson's USA Race Park.
