The accomplished veteran dusts off the driving gear once each year to compete in the Chili Bowl, returning to Chili Bowl competition in 2005 for the first time since 1993.  Shane, the 1986 NCRA champion who finished third and fifth in World of Outlaws points in 1982 and ‘83 respectively, ran fourth in the first edition of the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in 1987.
