The 17-year-old followed up MSCS Rookie of the Year honors in 2008 with a runner-up points ranking in 2009 while also finishing out the season eighth in Bloomington Speedway points. Ricky captured his first career Sprint Car feature win with a June 20 triumph at Vermilion County Speedway, the best of ten top-fives and 21 top-tens in 34 feature starts.
