The DIRT
Modified and Late Model ace pulled off a
surprise Chili Bowl win in 2006 and went
on to capture the World of Outlaws Late
Model championship later that year before
signing on as a development driver for
Richard Childress Racing.
In 2007,
Tim posted one top-five finish in a pair
of NASCAR East starts, a top-five in a
pair of ARCA/ReMax starts and made a half
dozen NASCAR Busch series starts while
also mixing in three WoO Late Model
top-fives in a limited number of
appearances.
Tim
posted an impressive ninth-place finish in
his Chili Bowl debut before becoming the
first driver with a background outside of
Sprint Car or Midget racing to capture the
Golden Driller the next year. Last
year, Tim utilized a defending champion's
provisional after a rough qualifying night
and responded by charging from 25th to
eighth.
