The three-time USAC National Midget champion (1997, 1998 and 1999) ranked ninth in 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series points on the strength of 13 top-tens over the course of the season.

Falling just one spot shy of the Golden Driller in 1998, Jason has made it to Saturday night's championship main event at the Chili Bowl in each of his last ten attempts.  Jason did capture a Golden Driller as a car owner in 2008 with Damion Gardner in the Leffler-owned entry.
