One of
only four drivers to top the Chili Bowl
Nationals on more than one occasion, Cory
will be gunning for the Golden Driller
after missing the main event cut last year
for the first time since his Chili Bowl
debut in 1995.
After
topping the Midget portion of Manzanita's
Copper on the Dirt event in February, Cory
went on to snare nine wingless Sprint Car
wins to run his season total to ten wins,
marking the ninth consecutive year that
Cory has posted ten or more feature wins.
Cory's
'07 triumphs included a handful of USAC/CRA
scores, a pair of VRA wins and an MSCS
victory in Kentucky, but none were more
lucrative than his $5,000 score in the
ASCS Canyon Region's 360 Western World
Championships at Manzanita Speedway on
October 13.
Teamed
with J.J. Yeley, Cory will once again be
teamed with car owner Andy Bondio.
Adding five Chili Bowl preliminary feature
wins to his two Saturday night conquests,
seven of Cory's 15 career Midget feature
wins have come atop the Tulsa Expo Raceway
clay at the Chili Bowl Nationals aboard
the familiar Bondio No. 47.
