A pair of wins in May at Indiana's Lincoln Park Speedway were the best of Shane's 11 top-ten Sprint Car feature finishes, with Shane also posting a third-place USAC Silver Crown finish in the Tony Bettenhausen 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on August 16.  Shane, a 2002 Chili Bowl main event starter, ranked eighth in '08 Silver Crown points.
