Back on track, Shane opened the 2008 season in the open wheel ranks and won his first two times out in BCRA Midget action before making it three in a row with a Regional USAC Sprint Car victory.  Shane stepped up to stiffer competition with a shift to the Midwest, with a fourth-place run at Paragon Speedway his best dirt run of the summer.
