Ranked third in 2009 USAC Midget points and eighth in USAC Sprint Car points, Darren topped the Sprint Car portion of Manzanita Speedway’s final Copper on Dirt in February and added a second Sprint Car win in Sprint Bandits TNT action while also notching Midget wins at Las Vegas and Columbus. Sidelined for a month after a wild ride Eldora, Darren’s 2009 season included those four wins among 23 top-fives and 37 top-tens in 56 feature starts.
