"The
Texan" broke open a tight O'Reilly
American Sprint Cars on Tour National
championship points battle with a dominant
Speedweek performance and went on to
collect the $50,000 series championship
for the fourth year in a row to go along
with ten previous NCRA titles.
Gary
kicked off the season on the right note by
collecting $10,000 in East Bay Raceway
Park's "King of the 360's" and
went on to post 13 ASCS National Tour wins
in 2007, extending his series best win
total to 119. Wright was able to put
the title away on the strength of 32
top-fives in 35 feature
starts.
In
addition to the lucrative title, Gary also
won a new Wesmar Racing Engine by topping
the invitational ASCS / Wesmar Challenge
at the Devil's Bowl Winter Nationals in
October.
Gary's 14
overall wins in 2007, including an All
Star triumph in August, runs his career
total in Sprint Cars alone to over 300
triumphs.
Teamed
with Darren Stewart and Billy Mentgen
aboard one of three Mentgen entries,
Wright shoots for his fifth Saturday night
Chili Bowl championship finale.
