Calling
Oklahoma home now by way of Washington
after a stint in Colorado, the 2007 SMRS
Midget champ shifted focus to the Sprint
Car ranks in 2008. And the former
ASCS Rocky Mountain Region champ responded
with a top-ten ranking in ASCS National
points and a ranking of sixth in ASCS
Sooner Region points despite missing
several events on both circuits.
Gary
snared his first career ASCS National Tour
feature win during the opening leg of ASCS
Speedweek at 67 Texarkana Speedway on July
11 and then added his second win a week
later at Oklahoma City's State Fair
Speedway. Gary also posted four wins
in ASCS Sooner Region action, with SMRS
Midget triumphs at Wichita's 81 Speedway
and Odessa's I-70 Speedway running his
season victory total to eight.
Missing
the cut by three or fewer positions at the
Chili Bowl on three different occasions,
Gary tries to put Triple X into the Chili
Bowl championship main event for the first
time in January.
