The 2005 American Sprint Car Series National Tour runner-up ranked among the top ten in ASCS National points for the sixth consecutive year in 2007 with a final ranking of sixth.

One of just four drivers to make the feature cut in each leg of the Triple Crown of 360-ci Sprint Car racing (East Bay's King of the 360's, Knoxville's 360 Nationals and I-30 Speedway's Short Track Nationals) along with Gary Wright, Jason Johnson and Travis Rilat, Darren tacked on his 11th career ASCS National Tour win with a Speedweek score at Creek County Speedway on July 16.
