After kicking off the 2007 season with a Chili Bowl preliminary feature win and then his second career top-five finish in the Chili Bowl main event, Shane racked up nine wingless Sprint Car victories throughout Indiana and Illinois.  Five of those came at Kokomo Speedway, where he won the track championship.

In addition to his Sprint Car exploits, Shane also posted wins in Midget and Silver Crown competition in 2007.  "The Throttle" won in a photo finish during USAC Midget Week action at Gas City I-69 Speedway on August 10 and then topped the USAC Silver Crown Ted Horn 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on September 2.
