Leffler, with three consecutive USAC
National Midget titles (1997-99) and a
USAC Silver Crown championship (1998)
already on his resume, has been a top
contender on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Series the past two years.
Leffler won his first NASCAR Truck
race on May 30 at Dover International
Speedway, then finished out the season
competing on both the NASCAR Winston Cup
and NASCAR Busch Grand National
Series.
With
six consecutive Chili Bowl main event
starts from 1997 to 2002, Leffler returns
after a year's absence. Teamed with
car owner Dino Tomassi, Leffler enters the
event among the pre-race favorites
for Chili Bowl glory.
