After earning NASCAR Nextel Cup Rookie of the Year honors in 2004, the open wheel grad found himself battling Lady Luck much of the time during his sophomore season with the nation's most prominent racing circuit.

The 2000 USAC National Midget champion did manage to score his first career NASCAR Nextel Cup win by topping the May 14 event at Richmond International Speedway.  Also competing in a majority of the NASCAR Busch Series events, Kasey found his way to victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway on April 16 and Kansas Speedway on October 8.

With one Chili Bowl top ten feature finish in three feature starts, Kasey looks for his first Golden Driller trophy in this year's edition of the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
