The 2004 USAC National Sprint Car champion ranked among the top ten in all three major USAC touring divisions in '05.  Drake ranked fourth in '05 Sprint Car points, fifth in Silver Crown points and ninth in Midget points.

Drake scored three USAC Sprint wins, including an April 30 score at Eldora Speedway, a June 3 triumph at Gas City I-69 Speedway and an August 24 victory at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL.  His lone midget win of the year came at Lawrenceburg Speedway on August 18.

Posted five top-tens in eight Silver Crown starts, including fourth place showings at the Hoosier Hundred and the Milwaukee Mile.

After making Saturday night’s Chili Bowl finale in six consecutive attempts, the '01 Chili Bowl champion has missed the feature field the last two years, a trend he looks to reverse this January.
