Chili Bowl Finish: 12th (2002)
After
posting back-to-back runner-up finishes in Badger
Midget Auto Racing Association points the
previous two years, Davey Ray notched his first
driving championship by winning this year's
BMARA title.
Aboard the RAJO/Wilke-Pak Sesco-Mopar
powered Stealth, Ray led the BMARA in
several categories in 2003, including
feature wins (6), top five feature
finishes (15) and feature laps led (190).
Ray won the title by an impressive 301
points over seven-time Badger champion Dan
Boorse.
Ray also
ranked sixth in the 2003 National Midget
Driver of the Year final points.
Ray was
absent from the 2003 edition of the Chili
Bowl Nationals, but will be back this year
in strong form following his championship
season with the competitive Badger Midget
series.
