Along with being the out-going 2005 President of The Bay Cities Racing
Association (BCRA), Cortez drove the Charlie Kemp-owned Wingless Sprint Car to the points championship with the Chico-Placerville series.  Cortez in 2006 will again be doing
double duty in the Kemp Motorsports Wingless Sprint and fielding his own Beast/Mopar Pavement Midget.
