The accomplished Midget shoe ranked second in USAC's National Midget points in '05...Finished among the top-five in 20 of 28 Midget feature starts in 2005, notching five wins along the way...Biggest win of the year came in the prestigious Belleville (KS) Midget Nationals, with other wins including an AMRA win at Manzanita (4/16), a Badger win at Angell Park (6/5), a USAC triumph at Salem (8/13) and a MARA score at the Southern Illinois Center (9/2)...Filled in his extra time with sprint car and Silver Crown action, notching a Sprint win in prelim action for Manzanita Speedway's Western World Classic on November 10...Has qualified for the Chili Bowl championship main event in six of eight attempts, including four times in the past five years...Last year's 12th place Chili Bowl finish was Coons' best other than a seventh-place showing in 1999.
