Springfield, IL, shoe Craig Carey raced to a fifth place finish in MARA points in 2003, posting three feature wins along the way.  

Carey topped the King "Doodlebug" preliminary feature at Knoxville Raceway on May 30, then raced to victory lane at Delta Bowl Speedway in Tunica, MS, on June 21.  Carey provided the fireworks by winning at Jacksonville (IL) Speedway on July 4.

Carey will look to continue his recent trend of Chili Bowl improvement.  After a rough 2002 Chili Bowl that ended with a G Feature 'DNS', Carey topped a qualifying night B Feature in 2003 action before his Saturday finale ended respectably in a C Feature.
