After
casting retirement aside for his first
taste of Chili Bowl competition in 2005,
the former USAC open-wheel ace returns for
another dose of Chili Bowl action.
Bigelow
ranks fifth on USAC's all-time win list,
having piled up a total of 81 feature
victories over the course of his career,
including 52 Sprint wins and 23 Midget
triumphs. Bigelow claimed the 1978
USAC Sprint championship and the 1984 USAC
Midget title.
Bigelow
also started the Indianapolis 500 on nine
straight occasions from 1974 to 1982,
posting a best finish of sixth in 1977.
Bigelow
teams with his nephew, Buddy Luebke, for
his second Chili Bowl.
